RUKAANA (GB)
Looking forward to the season ahead, we have purchased Rukaana at the Newmarket July Sale for a Juvenile Hurdle campaign. He is a beautiful grey 3 year old gelding that has had 8 runs on the flat to date: 4 runs as a 2 year old and 4 runs as a 3 year old, winning 2 races thus far. He has plenty of size and scope and is a nice free moving type. As a horse that loves a bit of juice in the ground we feel he will be suited to National Hunt racing, especially given the way he really sticks his neck out to get the job done, as seen when winning at Nottingham. He is by Dark Angel, a producer of Grade 1, Graded and Listed winning horses over obstacles.

GARRINCHA (FR)
A strong, forward going and very well-bred two year-old gelding who looks the type to be ready to run in Junior National Hunt Hurdles or Bumpers as a three/four year-old. He has plenty of size and strength, athletic movement and a tough attitude. Furthermore, he is a full-brother to 143-rated Madara who won valuable handicap chases at both The Cheltenham December Meeting and The Dublin Racing Festival last season. The sire Doctor Dino is long-established as one of the top National Hunt stallions in France, as well as producing a slew of top-class horses in the UK & Ireland, including Grade-1 winners State Man, Sharjah, Sceau Royal and Dinoblue. Purchasing this horse as a two-year-old was a deliberate strategy as horses of this quality at the Irish Store Sales cost well into six figures.

HAWTHORN STREET
A fine chasing type by top National Hunt sire Flemensfirth, sire of the likes of Imperial Commander, Tornado Flyer and Tidal Bay, who won his second Point-to-Point start in powerful fashion.
His first start can be easily forgiven as he was too green to get involved in the contest, but he put that experience to good use second time out galloping on strongly up the stiff hill at Tinahely to win by 3½-lengths from some very well-regarded opponents. The way that Hawthorn Street galloped through the line all the way to the top of the hill at Tinahely was typical of a powerful Flemensfirth galloper who will mature with time into an exciting staying chaser.
His pedigree suggests similar since it contains Irish Grand National winner Thunder And Roses and Kerry Grand National winner Wrath Of Titans.

A strong, tough 3-year-old chesnut filly who came well recommended from proven consignors Carrigeen Bloodstock.
