We survived Ophelia

The horses at Chepstow, over the weekend, ran well with Fleminport showing promise in the novice hurdle on Saturday, It’s A Gimme again running a genuine race finishing third in the veterans chase and Khage and Dazzling Oscar showing promise in the two divisions of the bumper.

We had a good day at Worcester yesterday, having moved venue from Hereford due to the going, Above Board smoothly winning his first chase under Barry Geraghty, followed by Sky Pirate winning his first start over hurdles nicely under Aidan Coleman.

Terry The Fish, again ran a cracking race, finishing second - beaten half a length in the valuable handicap hurdle.

Today we have runners at Nottingham (on the flat) and jumping at Wetherby and tomorrow Minella Rocco has travelled to Ireland to run in the Grade 3 chase at Punchestown, and we also have seven runners over the jumps at Uttoxeter.

Friday we will have a couple of runners at Wincanton and over the weekend we have entries at Ffos Las, Market Rasen, Stratford on Avon and Kempton Park.

Apart from a lot of leaves coming off the trees and an amazing orange coloured sky, we were not held up at all by Ophelia, who passed through quite quickly.
