At Huntington on Tuesday Pongo Twistleton won in great form, jumping really well, much to the delight of the Megson family. Jonjo travelled down from The Doncaster Sales where we acquired three nice young horses and after racing, Jonjo returned to Doncaster to view the Horses in Training sale the following day.

As Southwell on Wednesday, Strongly Suggested again ran well, finishing third and at the valuable meeting at Warwick on Thursday, The Tailgater ran a very encouraging first start, over fences, finishing third – beaten only three quarters of a length in Novices’ Handicap Chase.

Festive Affair ran well (for a long way) in the big race of the day, he ended up finishing 4th, which was a good effort – so close after his win at Ludlow. Bronco Billy followed up his win at Huntingdon with another win in the Handicap Chase, much to the delight of Jean and John.

Tonight Kelvingrove and Foundation Man head up the M5 to Worcester for Kelvingrove’s first start over fences and Foundation Man’s first run after his winter break.

The weekend in busy as normal with two runners at Cartmel tomorrow, Minotaur and Box Office and six runners on Sunday – four at Uttoxeter including A Little Magic (going for his 4th win in 5 starts) in the big race of the day. We also have Allelu Alleluia, Walkami and Mister Dick at Uttoxeter and down in Fontwell we have Adam du Breteau and Celtic Tune. On Bank Holiday Monday we have entries at Huntingdon, Cartmel, Leicester and Windsor.

Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts and have a smashing Bank Holiday Weekend.
