September So Far...

Our horses ran well at Stratford and Fontwell with Mont Royale finishing a good second in the Handicap Chase at Stratord and Tidal Watch running with much more promise when third in the Juvenile Hurdle at Fontwell on Sunday.

At Uttoxeter on Wednesday 13th, we started the day off, unfortunately, with Royal Escape being brought down at the second hurdle on his hurdling debut. We hope to get him out again soon and hope it doesn’t dent his confidence.

Call To Order ran an encouraging race, finishing second in the Novice Chase, his first start over fences. We finished off the day nicely, with a winner, Borderlinedecision, winning the last race of the day, a handicap hurdle, in good style – ridden by Aidan Coleman.

This weekend, with no jump racing, we have runners on the flat on Sunday at Bath and Ffos Las. At Bath, Storm Melody will be trying to follow up his win last year in the Summer Sprint Series Handicap Final, a great prize put on by Bath Racecourse for horses who have run at Bath in a qualifying race this season. We also run Candelaria in the 2.15 Sprint Handicap.

Down at Ffos Las, Doesyourdogbite runs in the last race, a mile and a half handicap, after having his summer break.

Jumping resumes again on Monday at Worcester where we have a number of horses entered. Then there is no jumping in the south again until Newton Abbot on Friday and Uttoxeter and Plumpton on Sunday 24th.
