End of the Season

On Monday 24th we started the day off at Warwick with The Tailgater coming to challenge at the last, where he unfortunately fell – fortunately both horse and rider quickly got to their feet and live to fight another day. I’dliketheoption was 4th in the valuable Novice Chase and Royal Escape ran an encouraging first race, finishing 5th in his bumper.

Jonjo then travelled on to Windsor where Desert Cross won the 1½ mile handicap in good fashion under a nice ride from Fran Berry. It was nice for the Hickey family to celebrate with a glass of champagne.

On Tuesday and Thursday we had a couple of placed horses with Hedley Lamarr finishing third at Ludlow and Cloth Cap finishing 4th at Market Rasen.

Today we have runners across the card at Chepstow and Huntingdon which are our last runners of the season in the UK. Lets hope we can finish with a winner although we do run Dream Berry in the Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown on Saturday.

Once again, we would like to thank all our staff for their hard work and our owners for their valuable support over the season.

We look to start the new season on Bank Holiday Monday with a bang!
