Jonjo has made two entries in the Ryanair Chase, a Festival race he has won twice with Alberta's Run. More Of That and Taquin Du Seuil, who finished sixth last year, have been given this option as well as entries in the Gold Cup.

Eastlake could given a Grade One opportunity this year with an entry in the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase. Another course specialist,  he has won two handicap chases named in honour of Jenny (2013) and Raymond Mould at Cheltenham, most recently in December. He finished second in the 2015 Grand Annual and won over the National fences at Aintree in the 2016 Topham.

At 11 years old, the same age as Sire De Grugy, Eastlake would be bidding to join the ranks of Skymas in 1976 and Moscow Flyer in 2005 as one of the oldest winner of the race, one which, so far, has eluded Jonjo but was won from Jackdaws by David Nicholson with Viking Flagship in 1994 and 1995.

Owner, JP McManus also has Uxizandre, trained by Alan King, in the list of 28 entries. Barry Geraghty, the likely rider, already has five wins in the race, a record he shares with Pat Taaffe.
