Autumn on the way…..

« Back To News

Our horses continue in good form, although in late August we had a run of “Seconditis” with a couple of them beaten in photo finishes, with Casaclare beaten a neck at Chepstow and Quarenta caught on the line and beaten a neck at Worcester – one of three seconds for us on the day.

It was nice to kick off September with Mad Jack Mytton winning impressively at Worcester on Sunday 3rd September, which was also our Annual Owner’s Open Day which was a well attended, enjoyable day.

We paraded about 30 horses in our indoor school and our staff did a fantastic job turning them out in tip top condition. Also we sold a number of young horses, although we still have a couple for sale if you are interested!

Jump racing is fairly quiet through September but we will have a couple of runners this weekend at Stratford and Fontwell followed by Worcester and Uttoxeter on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

All our winter horses are doing really well and we are stepping up their work and Aidan Coleman and Richie McLernon have been very busy schooling / jumping the horses over the last few weeks, in preparation for the season ahead when the ground becomes suitable to run.
